Hey! Let's dive in, and I'll walk you through...

In 2017, Procreate and lettering on an iPad seemed overwhelming to me. So a friend sat down with me and showed me all the essentials.

And that's what I'm doing with you here. Sit down, relax and let's walk through all the essential parts of procreate!

Your turn to try!

Here's a custom procreate brush designed to help you draw smooth, easy lines. Plus a traceable quote - so you can get the feel for procreate, your new brush and drawing on an iPad.

(Instructions to install brush below)

Download the Brush and Traceable!

How to install the brush into Procreate

1. Download the brush & traceable, and save to a folder/location you can find again.

2. They come in a zipped folder, so you'll need to double click or right click and select "extract".

3. Now open procreate, and on the top right menu, select the brush icon. This will open the brush menu.

4. Select "+", in the top right of the brush library.

5. Choose "Import" and navigate to where you saved the brush. And touch the brush to select it.

YOU'RE SET!

If you want to import the traceable, follow these steps:

1. From the Gallary, hit the "+" to start a new canvas. You can choose screen size or 'paper size', either will work.

2. Then choose the "wrench" icon in the upper left corner. This opens the Actions panel.

3. Choose the "Add" icon.

4. Select "Insert a photo" and navigate to where you saved the Traceable jpg.

5. Now select your "layer" icon, in the upper right corner (it looks like 2 squares overlapping).

6. You will see the image on a layer, you can make it lighter by selecting "N" and sliding down the 'Opacity' bar.
